BIOGRAPHY

I am an interdisciplinary Artist and Co-founder of Anti Avant-Garde Avant-Garde Artist Collective. I currently studying at UNT and creating work in Denton Texas. I grew up in West Texas and from the beginning I noticed that I was a little different than others. I dealt with very strong emotions and noticed a lot of details in a variety of things/occurrences that others did not. I make my work to process and experience life in it's entirety. My recent work has been exploring multi-sensory connections and experiences, with a highlight on sound currently. My work focuses on the figure and emphasizes the tension of emotional/internal processes and what it is to be human.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Emotions and thought processes are delicate, strong, influential, encompassing, and subtle, and everyone in life experiences them.

My work explores the tension between internal feelings/dialogue and everyday life.

I am currently investigating ways to incorporate multi-sensory experiences into my work.

My influences are in constant motion as I learn and discover new obsessions quite frequently. A few constants are nature, music, emotions, and interpersonal relationships.

I am continually learning, exploring, and creating from that space. Life and all its disparities are constantly on my mind while I am creating.
